This paper reports preliminary studies on general permeation of Toxoplasmosis at Owari area in Aichi prefecture.
Swines, men, dogs and cows were examined from the presence of Toxoplasma antibody by the Hemoagglutination test or Skin test.
The following results were obtained:
1. Among the swines tested the positive rate was 21.8 per cent (37/170), in order to compare meat swine with propergative swine, the former showed 18.2 per cent, the later was 45.5 per cent, it showed a much higher positive rate (X
2=8.33), however sex difference was not observed significantly (X
2=0.17).
2. Positive rate differs considerably between ordinal and professional person (X
2=10.4), and it increases gradually as the older age and the expart.
3. In the dogs tested the positive rate increases as they grow older (X
2s=20.49), However sex and physique difference was not observed significantly.
4. In the swines, a human beings, dogs and cows, HA-antibody of cows showed the lowest positive rate, being 1.7 per cent (1/60).
There results suggest generally the saturation of Toxoplasmosis in the Chukyo area, as Toxoplasmosis is becoming the national disease by the propergation and movement from an tract of limited land.
