Bovine hematuria vesicalis occurred to cattle fed about 300-1, 200g of fresh and dried bracken daily for more than 2 years. Vesical tumor found in these animals was essentially thesame as that produced experimentally in cattle and small laboratory animals by feeding bracken. In some herds any new case of this tumor was prevented from appearing when bracken was removed from feed. Little bracken had been fed to cattle in areas where that hematuria had never occurred. In conclusion, the main cause of the hematuria was assumed to be long-term bracken feeding.
