1. ベサネコールクロライドおよびメチル硫酸ネオスチグミンの緬羊胃運動におよぼす影響

1) ベサネコールの薬用量 (50～100γ/kg) の皮下注射は, 緬羊の生理的前胃運動に対し, 緊張性の増加, 周期的収縮の増加をおこした. その効果は注射後5～20分より約40分継続した.
大量投与の場合, 注射直後一過性の緊張の増加とともに強直性収縮を示したが, その経過は短くただちに周期的収縮の増加をきたした.
ネオスチグミンはベサネコールと同様であるが, その作用は弱かった.
2) 麻酔, 手術および低級脂肪酸の経口投与に継発する前胃運動の抑制または停止に対し, ベサネコールは著明に前胃の周期的収縮を回復したが, ネオスチグミソの作用は弱かった.
3) ベサネコールの静脈注射は, 注射直後一過性の血圧の降下があったが, 呼吸の頻度, 深さは変化しなかった. また皮下注射の場合, 臨床的に呼吸循環系におよぼす変化はみとめられなかった.
4) ネオスチグミソは大量投与のときにも流涎作用はなかったが, ベサネコールは薬用量でも軽度の流誕作用をみとめ, 大量投与では顕著な流誕がみとめられた.
5) ベサネコールはネオスチグミンよりある程度排尿, 排糞作用が強いことが分った.

Experiment on Anthelmintic Effect of a Thenium Preparation on Canine, Hookworms and Canine Ascarides

Ancaris, a proprietary preparation of thenium, was examined for anthelmintic effect on 20 dogs infected with canine hookworms and 12 dogs infected with canine ascarides. One tablet of it was administered to adult dogs weighing less than 5kg, two tablets to those weighing less than 10kg, and three tablets to those weighing less than 15kg. Puppies weighing 480 to 1, 500g were given one-third to one half of a tablet twice a day in the morning and in the evening.
The anthelmintic effect was determined by comparing the number of worms remaining in the body at autopsy conducted on adult dogs 7days after medication and on puppies 4 days after medication and the number of worms excreted daily after medication. The number of eggs excreted per gram of feces (E. P. G.) counted twice before and three times after medication was also taken into consideration in the case of adult dogs.
As a result, worms were removed and egg excretion became negative at rather high rates in most of the adult dogs. The rate of removal of hookworms was 84.6 per cent. Excretion of worms was observed 2 to 3 days after medication. E.P. G. was also reduced around this period. The rate of removal of ascarides was 76.3 per cent in 4 puppies given one-third of a tablet, 96.3 per cent in 4 puppies given one half of a tablet, and only 75.0 per cent in 5 adult dogs. In the case of whipworms, egg excretion became negative at a rate of 47.0 per cent, but the rate of removal of worms was 9.8 per cent. Ancaris was not effective for the removal of tapeworms.
As a side effect of Ancaris, vomiting was exhibited only by one dog. Therefore, this preparation was proved to be a reliable, effective anthelmintic against hookworms and ascarides.
